Xpeng, a leading electric vehicle (EV) maker, is setting ambitious goals for 2025, aiming to double its deliveries from the previous year. The company’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, expressed confidence in achieving this target during a recent speech at a Guangdong provincial government conference.

In 2024, Xpeng delivered a total of 190,068 vehicles, and with plans to double this figure in 2025, the company is targeting approximately 380,000 deliveries. This aggressive growth strategy aligns with the company’s vision to transform the future of mobility by providing innovative solutions for urban and provincial transportation.

One of Xpeng’s key initiatives involves the development of flying cars through its subsidiary, Xpeng Aeroht. With a dedicated team of over 1,300 employees, Xpeng Aeroht has emerged as Asia’s largest flying car company, focusing on cutting-edge R&D in artificial intelligence (AI) and aerial transportation technologies.

Xpeng Aeroht’s flagship product, the modular flying car “Land Carrier,” is set to launch and pre-sell within the year, with deliveries expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026. The subsidiary’s state-of-the-art factory in Guangzhou, with a planned capacity of 10,000 units annually, underscores Xpeng’s commitment to innovation and sustainable transportation solutions.

In addition to its flying car endeavors, Xpeng is actively expanding its global presence, with operations in over 30 countries and regions in 2024. The company plans to accelerate its globalization strategy in 2025, targeting entry into more than 60 countries and regions. With a long-term goal of generating half of its sales from international markets within the next decade, Xpeng is poised for significant growth and impact on the global automotive industry.

Furthermore, Xpeng is committed to investing in research and development, with a cumulative R&D investment exceeding RMB 50 billion ($6.9 billion) over the past decade. In 2025, the company and its flying car subsidiary are projected to allocate approximately RMB 9.5 billion towards R&D, with a focus on advancing AI technologies and sustainable transportation solutions.

Overall, Xpeng’s ambitious growth targets, technological innovations, and global expansion initiatives position the company as a key player in the evolving landscape of electric and autonomous vehicles. With a strong foundation in R&D, manufacturing excellence, and strategic partnerships, Xpeng is well-positioned to lead the charge towards a more sustainable and connected future of mobility.
