Xpeng has unveiled the Max variant of the Mona M03 electric sedan, with an official launch scheduled for later this month. Show cars of this variant will be on display in Xpeng showrooms starting May 21, and the official launch event is set to take place at the end of May.

The Max variant of the Mona M03 will feature Xpeng’s Turing AI assisted driving system, providing advanced technology and enhancing the driving experience for users. The unveiling of the Max variant was done by He Xiaopeng, Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, at an event attended by several owners of the Mona M03.

The Mona M03 was originally launched by Xpeng on August 27, 2024, with three variants – the 515, 620, and 580 Max. The starting prices for these variants were RMB 119,800 ($16,590), RMB 129,800, and RMB 155,800 respectively. Deliveries of the lower-priced variants began at the end of August 2024.

It is worth noting that 90 percent of Mona M03 customers are under the age of 35, indicating the sedan’s popularity among young consumers. The Mona M03 has consistently been the top-selling A-segment pure electric sedan in China for eight consecutive months since its launch.

In addition to the existing beige, black, and white exterior colors of the regular Mona M03, the Max variant will introduce three new exterior color options – purple, grey, and cyan. Xpeng aims to appeal to a younger demographic by offering more than 50 official color variations for the Mona M03 Max.

The Mona M03 Max will be equipped with a superior pure vision driver assistance system compared to the standard versions. It will also feature the Xpeng Turing AI assisted driving system, which is currently available on Xpeng’s premium models such as the updated G6 and G9 SUVs. Furthermore, the Max variant will include a full version of the Tianji cockpit system, enhancing the overall driving experience with voice interaction capabilities.

Xpeng recently announced impressive delivery figures, with 35,045 vehicles delivered in April – the second highest monthly total in the company’s history. The Mona M03 contributed significantly to these numbers, accounting for 40.55 percent of Xpeng’s total deliveries for the month.

Overall, the Max variant of the Mona M03 promises to offer cutting-edge technology, enhanced driving features, and a stylish design to cater to the preferences of young consumers. Stay tuned for the official launch of the Mona M03 Max at the end of May.
