Xpeng, a Chinese carmaker, recently unveiled the P7+ concept at the Paris Motor Show, showcasing it as the world’s first AI-defined vehicle. The company’s Chairman and VEO, Xiaopeng He, emphasized Xpeng’s mission to become a global technology leader in AI-defined mobility.

According to Xiaopeng He, Xpeng believes that the future of the automotive industry lies in technology, particularly AI and autonomous driving. The company aims to revolutionize the mobility experience for global customers by integrating advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) into their vehicles and eventually transitioning to autonomous driving capabilities.

The P7+ concept, which pioneers the future of AI-defined mobility, is designed to learn from individual users’ behaviors and preferences, providing a personalized driving experience. The vehicle integrates advanced AI technology across various components, including the chassis, powertrain, driving system, and smart cockpit, as well as Xpeng’s AI Hawkeye Visual Solution.

Key highlights of the Xpeng P7+ technology include advanced ADAS features standard on all models, the adoption of Xpeng AI Hawkeye Visual Solution for enhanced spatial awareness, and the use of an 800V high-voltage SiC platform for ultra-fast charging and energy efficiency.

Xpeng is committed to expanding its global presence, with vehicles already available in 30 countries and regions, including several European markets. The company aims to capture a larger share of the premium segment by offering safe, eco-friendly, and well-equipped intelligent vehicles. By 2025, Xpeng plans to operate in over 60 markets globally, with a goal of achieving half of its sales from overseas markets.

During the Paris Motor Show 2024, French President Emmanuel Macron visited the Xpeng booth and showed interest in the AEROHT X2 flying car. Xpeng’s presence at the event reflects its commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the automotive industry.
