Xpeng, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) maker, has introduced the 2025 X9 MPV, its latest model aimed at global markets. The company unveiled the seven-seat X9 at an event in Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone as it held a product launch event outside of the Chinese mainland for the first time.

The 2025 X9 is priced at RMB 359,800 ($49,190) in China, maintaining the same starting price as its predecessor. However, this price is lower than the previously announced pre-sales price of RMB 399,800. Xpeng plans to expand the availability of the X9 to Europe in the second half of 2025, underlining its commitment to international markets.

This new model comes in four variants, with prices ranging from RMB 359,800 to RMB 419,800 in China. The X9 measures 5,293 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width, and 1,785 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm, maintaining the dimensions of its predecessor.

Powered by an 800-volt high-voltage platform, the 2025 X9 offers a range of battery options. The base model features a 94.8 kWh battery pack with a range of 650 kilometers and supports fast charging, while the higher-end variants come with a 105 kWh battery pack offering a range of 702 to 740 kilometers.

In terms of performance, the X9 impresses with its acceleration capabilities. The two entry-level models are single-motor front-wheel drive vehicles with a peak power of 235 kW and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. The top-tier variants add a rear motor with a peak power of 135 kW, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.

Xpeng has integrated several comfort and safety features into the 2025 X9, including rear-wheel steering for enhanced agility and a pure vision smart driving solution. The model also comes standard with free Turing AI ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), further enhancing its appeal.

Originally launched on January 1, 2024, the X9 has quickly become a flagship model for Xpeng, contributing significantly to the company’s annual deliveries. In 2024, the X9 delivered 21,653 units out of Xpeng’s total annual deliveries of 190,068 vehicles.

With the launch of the 2025 X9, Xpeng continues to expand its product lineup and strengthen its presence in the global EV market. The company’s commitment to innovation and technological advancements is evident in the features and performance capabilities of the X9, positioning it as a strong competitor in the MPV segment.
