Xpeng, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, recently celebrated a significant milestone as the 50,000th unit of the P7+ rolled off the assembly line. This achievement comes just five months after the launch of the mid-to-large-size electric sedan, highlighting the popularity and success of one of Xpeng’s best-selling models.

The P7+ was introduced on November 7, 2024, with three variants available at launch. The starting prices ranged from RMB 186,800 to RMB 218,800, making it an attractive option for consumers looking for a high-performance EV. Just 20 days after its launch, Xpeng reached another milestone as the 10,000th P7+ was produced, with delivery of this unit taking place on December 11, 2024.

To further enhance the P7+ lineup, Xpeng recently launched a faster charging variant at the 2025 Shanghai auto show. This new variant features a battery pack with a charging multiplier of 5C, allowing for a quick charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 12 minutes. This improvement in charging speed provides added convenience for P7+ owners, making it even more appealing to potential buyers.

In addition to the faster charging capabilities, the P7+ boasts impressive specifications. The mid-to-large-size electric sedan measures 5,056 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Notably, the P7+ is equipped with a vision-only driver assist system, marking a departure from Xpeng’s previous use of LiDAR technology.

In terms of sales performance, Xpeng delivered 33,205 vehicles in March, marking the fifth consecutive month of exceeding 30,000 units. The P7+ contributed 8,545 units to this total, accounting for 25.73 percent of the deliveries. Overall, in the first quarter of the year, Xpeng delivered 94,008 vehicles, representing a significant increase of 330.81 percent compared to the same period last year. The P7+ alone delivered 23,885 units in the first quarter, contributing 25.41 percent to Xpeng’s total deliveries during this period.

With its innovative technology, impressive performance, and strong sales figures, the Xpeng P7+ continues to cement its position as a top contender in the electric vehicle market. As Xpeng continues to expand its product offerings and enhance its EV lineup, the future looks bright for this pioneering automaker.
