Xpeng, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to introduce a new variant for the P7+ model that supports 5C charging technology. This new variant, known as the P7+ Ultra Long Range Max, is expected to make its debut at the upcoming 2025 Shanghai auto show.

The highlight of this new variant is its 5C AI battery, which allows for a rapid 10-minute charge that can provide enough range for a month-long commute. This cutting-edge technology is part of Xpeng’s commitment to embracing the 5C era in 2025, with the aim of revolutionizing the charging experience for electric vehicle owners.

The P7+ Ultra Long Range Max is designed to offer enhanced charging speed and handling experience, further solidifying the appeal of 5C supercharging. This move is in line with Xpeng’s strategy to stay ahead of the curve in the competitive electric vehicle market.

Xpeng initially launched the P7+ in November 2024, offering three variants at different price points. The electric sedan boasts impressive dimensions, with a spacious interior and advanced features that cater to the needs of modern drivers.

In addition to the P7+, Xpeng has also updated its G6, G9, and X9 models to standardize 5C batteries for faster and more efficient charging. These updated models have been well-received in the market, showcasing Xpeng’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement.

In March 2025, Xpeng delivered over 33,000 vehicles, marking another successful month for the company. The P7+ accounted for a significant portion of these deliveries, highlighting its popularity among consumers. Overall, Xpeng continues to gain momentum in the electric vehicle market, with a strong focus on delivering cutting-edge technology and superior driving experiences to its customers.
