Global Expansion and Milestones
XPENG has made significant strides in the European market, with a presence in 30 countries and 145 overseas service centers. The company aims to expand its reach to 60 countries and regions by the next year, solidifying its position as a key player in the global electric vehicle market.
Kunpeng Super Electric Power System
One of the key highlights of the event was the introduction of XPENG’s Kunpeng super electric power system, a next-generation platform that integrates cutting-edge battery, motor, and electronic control technologies. The system features a revolutionary 5C AI supercharging battery, capable of adding 1 km of range per second of charging and reaching 80% capacity in just 12 minutes. Additionally, the system includes an AI battery management chip that enhances battery life by 30%, ensuring greater safety and durability. The system also boasts a next-gen silicon carbide electric drive, achieving 93.5% efficiency while reducing size for improved cockpit space.
Expansion of Charging Infrastructure
XPENG has established 1,641 self-owned charging stations in China, including 1,307 supercharging stations. The company plans to expand its S5 supercharging stations across China and globally by 2025, offering individual charging piles capable of up to 540kW for rapid charging.
Turing AI Chip Advancements
CEO He Xiaopeng highlighted the progress of the Turing AI chip, which has successfully validated the company’s latest intelligent driving features. Designed for L4 autonomous driving, the chip features two custom neural processing units, dual independent image processors, and a neural network-specific architecture. With 40 processing cores, the chip supports large models of up to 30 billion parameters and includes an independent safety module for full vehicle safety monitoring.
Tianji AIOS for Intelligent Cabin Interactivity
XPENG unveiled the Tianji AIOS, its intelligent operating system that redefines vehicle cabin interactions. Operating on dual Turing AI chips, the system enhances AI and CPU processing by 20 times, enabling more natural human-vehicle interactions. The system continuously learns and adapts to user habits, offering personalized services and real-time, multilingual conversations for global users.
Flying Car and Robotics Technology
XPENG provided updates on its flying car and Iron robot projects, with plans to achieve one-click flight operation by 2026. The Iron robot is currently undergoing factory trials for select tasks, showcasing significant progress in autonomous operation capabilities.
