Zeekr, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, recently announced a significant milestone in the sales of its Zeekr 001 model. As of December 22, the company has delivered over 250,000 units of the Zeekr 001, making it the fastest pure electric vehicle in China to reach this mark. Additionally, the Zeekr 001 holds the title of being the sales champion among pure electric vehicles priced above 250,000 yuan.

In November alone, Zeekr sold 6,603 units of the Zeekr 001, bringing the total cumulative sales for 2024 to 92,289 units. The Zeekr 001 was first launched on April 15, 2021, as Zeekr’s inaugural model. It is available in three trims with a price range of 281,000 to 360,000 yuan and began deliveries on October 23 of the same year. Since its launch, the Zeekr 001 has achieved significant milestones, taking 110 days to deliver over 10,000 units, 357 days to surpass 50,000 units, and 972 days to exceed 200,000 units.

Currently, Zeekr offers six different trims of the Zeekr 001, with prices starting at 259,000 yuan. The vehicle is built on Geely’s SEA platform and features dimensions of 4977mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1545mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3005mm.

In terms of performance, the 2025 Zeekr 001 comes equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform and is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD model boasts a maximum power output of 310 kW (416 hp), a peak torque of 440 Nm, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. On the other hand, the AWD version adds a 270 kW (362 hp) front electric motor, resulting in a combined torque of 810 Nm and a blistering 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds. The entire Zeekr 001 lineup has a top speed of 240 km/h.

The Zeekr 001 is equipped with either a 95 kWh Shenxing LFP or a 100 kWh Qilin NMC battery pack sourced from CATL. The Shenxing variant offers ranges of 722 km and 675 km on CLTC, with a 5-minute fast charging session adding 256 km of battery life. On the other hand, the Qilin model provides ranges of 750 km and 705 km on CLTC, with a 10-minute fast charge extending the battery life by 390 km.

In conclusion, Zeekr’s Zeekr 001 has proven to be a popular choice among Chinese electric vehicle buyers, with its impressive performance, range, and sales figures solidifying its position as a top contender in the market.
