The Zeekr 007 Station Wagon: A Sneak Peek at the Body-in-White
Exciting news for electric vehicle enthusiasts as photos of the Zeekr 007 station wagon body-in-white have been leaked online. Codenamed CC1E, this sleek vehicle is set to hit the domestic market in 2025 and will also be available in European markets due to the popularity of station wagons in that region.
Zeekr, a high-end electric brand under Geely, has been making waves since its inception in 2021. With a current lineup of six models, including the Zeekr 007 sedan, the brand is set to expand its offerings with the launch of the station wagon version of the 007 sedan, codenamed CC1E. The body-in-white of this highly anticipated car was recently spotted in China.
The Design Details Unveiled
Renowned Chinese designer Sugar Design shared a photo of the Zeekr 007 station wagon body-in-white, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. The leaked image showcases two units of the CC1E, featuring sleek A-pillars, wide B-pillars, and a large sunroof. A small window between the C and D pillars enhances visibility, while thin energy absorption structures in the rear wheel arch ensure safety for both the battery pack and the passenger compartment.
The curved roofline of the Zeekr 007 station wagon gives it the appearance of an elongated hatchback, reminiscent of the Nio ET5 Touring electric car. The leaked photo also reveals charred frameworks at the front end, indicating flame protection testing, with test frames containing seats inside. Additionally, the second-row seats of the Zeekr 007 SW are electronically adjustable, adding a touch of luxury to the vehicle.
Specs and Competition
Previous sightings of the Zeekr CC1E in the wild showed it clad in heavy camouflage, aligning with the exterior styling of the Zeekr 007 sedan. The dimensions of the station wagon variant are expected to be comparable to the sedan, which measures 4865 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1450 mm in height.
The Zeekr 007 offers both RWD and 4WD powertrain options, with the former featuring a single electric motor in the rear axle delivering 310 kW (415 hp). The 4WD variant adds a 165-kW (221 hp) electric motor in the front, resulting in a combined power output of 375 kW or 636 horsepower. Two battery options are available for the 007: a 75 kWh LFP and a 100 kWh ternary NMC.
Upon its market launch, the Zeekr 007 station wagon will square off against the Nio ET5 Touring, a formidable competitor in the electric vehicle segment. With an impressive sales record in China, the ET5 Touring offers a price range of 298,000 – 356,000 yuan (40,800 – 48,800 USD), with the option of a BaaS (Battery as a Service) subscription for 228,000 yuan (31,250 USD).
