Zeekr, a subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has made its debut in the Malaysian automotive market by launching the Zeekr 009 MPV and Zeekr X compact SUV. The company is set to commence local deliveries later this month, marking a significant step in its international expansion efforts.

The Zeekr 009 MPV comes with a starting price of 349,800 ringgit ($78,960) in Malaysia, while the Zeekr X compact SUV starts at 155,800 ringgit. These models are also available in China, with the Zeekr 009 priced at RMB 439,000 and the Zeekr X at RMB 149,000.

To cater to Malaysian customers, Zeekr plans to establish six stores across key cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor Bahru. Additionally, the company intends to set up service centers in Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Penang to provide after-sales support to local users.

Having penetrated over 40 international markets, including Sweden, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Mexico, Zeekr has established a strong global presence. The company’s product lineup includes models like Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, Zeekr 7X, and Zeekr Mix.

In Southeast Asia, the Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X serve as the flagship models and are already available for sale or pre-order in countries like Singapore and Thailand. Recently, Zeekr launched the Zeekr 009 in Singapore and opened its 500th global store in the city-state.

Zeekr’s expansion efforts coincide with its impressive sales performance, as the company reported delivering 27,011 vehicles in November, marking a record high for the third consecutive month. In the first eleven months of the year, Zeekr delivered 194,933 vehicles, up 85.28 percent year-on-year, with a target of reaching 230,000 deliveries by the end of 2024.

With the recent milestone of producing its 400,000th vehicle, a Zeekr Mix, Zeekr is well on its way to achieving its ambitious sales targets. The company aims to enhance its offerings by integrating Lynk & Co, with a vision to achieve 1 million annual sales within the next two years.

As Zeekr continues to expand its global footprint and drive innovation in the EV market, the company remains committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable mobility solutions to customers worldwide.
