The Lucid Air is making waves in the electric vehicle market with its impressive straight-line performance and above-average ride and handling. The Air earns extra points for its exceptional performance, especially in the three-motor Sapphire model, which boasts a staggering 1,234 hp and 1,430 lb-ft of torque.

Most models in the Lucid Air lineup feature a dual-motor rear-wheel-drive layout, with the option for dual-motor all-wheel drive. The Sapphire stands out with its three-motor layout, offering unparalleled power and performance.

The acceleration capabilities of the Lucid Air are truly remarkable, with the Sapphire model claiming a 0-60 mph time of just 1.95 seconds. Other models in the lineup range from 3.0 seconds for the Grand Touring to 4.5 seconds for the Pure. The Grand Touring Performance model delivers 1,050 hp and a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, while the base-level Air Pure still manages a respectable 3.8 seconds.

The 2024 Lucid Air lineup includes a range of models, starting with the 430-hp single-motor Air Pure and culminating in the high-performance Sapphire model. The Air offers a balance of strong acceleration and graceful handling, with a firm yet comfortable ride that impresses both drivers and passengers.

Despite its substantial weight, the Air’s ride quality is smooth and composed, thanks to semi-active dampers and a mechanically variable steering rack. The Air’s regen settings and brake pedal feel are satisfying and precise, enhancing the overall driving experience.

In conclusion, the Lucid Air sets a new standard for luxury electric vehicles with its impressive performance and handling characteristics. Whether you opt for the Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, or the top-of-the-line Sapphire model, the Lucid Air delivers a thrilling driving experience that is sure to impress even the most discerning enthusiasts.
