The 2025 BMW X2 is a sleek and stylish SUV that offers a unique take on the traditional crossover. Redesigned in 2024, the X2 features a curvier design that sets it apart from its competitors. It is essentially a coupe-like version of the BMW X1, serving as the entry point to BMW’s crossover SUV lineup. Competitors of the BMW X2 include the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3, Volvo XC40, and Alfa Romeo Tonale.

One of the standout features of the 2025 BMW X2 is its pair of potent turbo-4 engines, which provide good acceleration. While the handling may not match up to BMW’s smaller sedans, the X2 still offers a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. The design of the X2 is a blend of European hatchback and American crossover styling, making it a unique choice in the luxury SUV market. The interior of the X2 is well-equipped, with a panel of screens housing climate and infotainment functions, supportive front seats with power adjustments and heaters, and decent rear legroom for four adults.

New for the 2025 model year, BMW has made heated front seats and a wifi trial standard on the X2. The X2’s distinctive design features a pronounced nose, vertical kidney grille, and a roofline that curves until the end, accented by a tailgate spoiler. The X2 is available with a choice of turbo-4 engines rated at either 241 hp or 312 hp, both offering a different driving experience. The M35i model comes with an adaptive suspension for a sportier ride, while the base xDrive28 model delivers a reasonable 28 mpg combined fuel economy.

In terms of safety, the 2025 BMW X2 comes equipped with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and blind-spot monitors. The IIHS has rated it as a Top Safety Pick for crash protection. However, active lane control and adaptive cruise control are available as optional extras. Pricing for the 2025 BMW X2 starts at $44,025 for the xDrive28i model and $53,475 for the M35i xDrive model, including a $1,175 destination charge.

The 2025 BMW X2 is manufactured in Bavaria, specifically in Regensburg, Germany. With its unique design, strong performance, and comfortable interior, the BMW X2 is a standout option in the luxury SUV market.
