Scheduled to hit the Australian market between April and June next year, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 will be going head-to-head with the Kia EV9 and other luxury European SUVs.
Powered by a 110.3kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery, the Ioniq 9 offers an estimated range of 620km in Long Range rear-wheel drive configuration with 19-inch wheels.
With a distinctive design that sets it apart from other Hyundai models, the Ioniq 9 features a full-width front light bar, ‘parametric pixel’ lighting elements, a swoopy roofline, long wheelbase, and a unique ‘boat tail’ rear-end. Its aerodynamic design gives it a drag coefficient of just 0.259Cd.
Built on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Ioniq 9 joins the brand’s expanding EV lineup in Australia, which includes the Ioniq 5 SUV and Ioniq 6 sedan. As the flagship model, the Ioniq 9 promises to deliver a premium electric driving experience.
