The 2025 Hyundai Tucson is a versatile five-seat compact crossover that offers gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options for consumers. It competes with other popular bestsellers in its class, such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Chevy Equinox.

One of the standout features of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is its improved usability, similar to the related Hyundai Santa Cruz small pickup truck. The vehicle has undergone subtle changes that have resulted in significant enhancements, earning it a TCC Rating of 7.0 out of 10. The previous slab-like touchscreen interface has been replaced with a more user-friendly system featuring tactile dials and buttons. These changes, along with updates to the style and powertrain, particularly on the Tucson Hybrid model, contribute to its overall appeal.

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson received a refresh that includes a streamlined front end, a more intuitive interface, and additional standard convenience features like wireless smartphone compatibility across all trim levels. Designers aimed to enhance the vehicle’s size and presence with a broader and taller front fascia, a raised rear bumper resembling a skid plate, and a more pronounced grille design.

Inside, the most significant update can be seen in the revamped interior. The previous touch surface block has been replaced by a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen positioned over a separate haptic climate panel with temperature dials. The gear selector has been relocated to the steering wheel, creating a cleaner and more open cabin space.

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson offers three powertrain options, including a base 187-hp 2.5-liter inline-4 engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, a Tucson Hybrid model with a 1.6-liter turbo-4 and larger electric motor, and a Plug-in Hybrid variant with a turbo-4 engine and rear-wheel electric motor. The hybrids maintain ample passenger and cargo space, with 41 cubic feet of cargo capacity and exceptional rear legroom.

Safety features on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson include automatic emergency braking, active lane control, blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beam headlights. The vehicle has received top safety ratings and is equipped with a range of advanced driver assistance technologies.

In terms of pricing, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is offered in various models, with the base SE starting just under $30,000. The Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid models are priced competitively, with the Tucson Hybrid Blue starting at $34,510 and the Plug-in Hybrid SEL priced at $40,775.

Gas versions of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson are manufactured in Alabama, while hybrid versions are imported from South Korea. Overall, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson offers a compelling blend of style, performance, and technology, making it a strong contender in the compact crossover segment.
