The 2025 Ram ProMaster EV: A Closer Look

Ram has unveiled the latest version of its ProMaster EV commercial van for 2025, boasting a range of up to 180 miles from its 110 kWh battery pack. With new 12- and 13-foot cargo configurations to cater to a wider range of fleet needs, and a starting price of $56,495, the van seems to offer a lot of familiar features from its 2024 predecessor.

Last year, when Ram first introduced the ProMaster EV, it promised a variety of customizable features, including different configurations, a high roof variant, and even a heated windshield. Interestingly, the recent press release for the “All-new 2025 Ram ProMaster EV Cargo Van” echoes many of these same features.

However, what sets the 2025 model apart is the availability of conventional cargo variants, such as sliding side doors and split-opening rear doors, making it more accessible to smaller fleets and individual users. The new 12-foot cargo/low roof spec can achieve a range of 180 miles, while the high-roof version offers a claimed 164 miles of range.

The ProMaster EV was co-developed with Amazon, with unique last-mile delivery features tailored to meet the demands of commercial customers like Merchants Fleet and Amazon. The van is designed for various sectors, including home delivery, construction services, wholesale, and IT services.

Stellantis has adjusted the pricing for the 2025 ProMaster EV, with a starting price of $69,995 plus a $1,995 destination fee, significantly lower than the 2024 model. The van is now more accessible to a wider range of customers, and the order books for the 2025 model are officially open.

In conclusion, the 2025 Ram ProMaster EV may seem similar to its predecessor in terms of specs and features, but the significant price cut and increased availability make it a more attractive option for fleet managers and individual users looking to transition to electric vehicles. With its improved range, customizable configurations, and competitive pricing, the ProMaster EV is poised to make a mark in the commercial van market.
