2026 Audi Q5 review: Quick drive

Both powertrains exhibited excellent transmission performance and overall drivability, with the diesel model achieving around 5.0L/100km on the highway and the petrol model averaging in the sevens on twisty B-roads.

In terms of technology, the Audi Q5 is well-equipped with advanced driver assistance features, although some functions, such as semi-autonomous highway driving, are not currently available in the Australian market. Audi is working on software updates to introduce these features in future models, with the possibility of retrofitting them to existing vehicles. Despite some feature limitations for the Australian market, the Q5 offers a comprehensive suite of safety and convenience technologies, including adaptive cruise control.
