2026 Citroen C5 Aircross design ‘95% ready’ for production

The upcoming Citroën C5 Aircross is making waves with its bold new design cues, set to be unveiled next year on Stellantis’s new STLA Medium platform. The concept car, showcased at the Brussels motor show, gives us a glimpse of what’s to come for Citroën’s largest model.

Designer Pierre Leclercq revealed that the show car is a teaser for what will hit showrooms, with 95% of the design carrying over to production. The new C5 Aircross will sport distinctive LED headlight signatures, sleek horizontal brake lights, and a more dynamic roofline. Expect to see flush door handles, a vent motif on the C-pillar, and squared-off wheel arches for added flair.

The concept also features kaleidoscopic wheel designs and chunky black body cladding, elements that may make it to the production model. The goal was to differentiate the C5 Aircross from its platform-sharing siblings like Peugeot, Vauxhall, and DS models while staying true to Citroën’s values of family-friendly functionality and comfort.

While details of the interior are still under wraps, Leclercq hints at a design that aligns with the brand’s ethos. The new C5 Aircross is expected to feature modern infotainment systems, user-friendly controls, and a focus on practicality.

Stay tuned for more updates as Citroën gears up to launch the next generation of the C5 Aircross, blending style with substance for the electric era.
