About Matt
Matt is Autocar’s lead features writer and presenter, known for being the main face of Autocar’s YouTube channel, hosting the My Week In Cars podcast, and penning the weekly column, Tester’s Notes, since 2013.
With a background in automotive engineering, Matt has been immersed in the world of cars since 1997. He started his journey at Autocar in 2005 as deputy road test editor, following stints as road test editor and world rally editor for Channel 4’s automotive website, 4Car.
Passionate about all things engineering and automotive, Matt is equally at home contributing to sibling publications like Move Electric and Classic & Sports Car as he is writing for Autocar. He holds a racing license and enjoys tinkering with classic cars and motorcycles, despite their occasional malfunctions.
