The 2026 Honda Passport has undergone a significant redesign, with a focus on offering a higher price point and emphasizing the TrailSport model. The entry-level EX-L trim has been replaced by the RTL grade, which is now available for $46,200 including a $1,450 destination charge. This model joins the TrailSport and TrailSport Elite in the lineup.

The TrailSport model showcases a more rugged and off-road-oriented design, with a longer and more spacious body compared to its predecessor. The wheelbase has been extended by 2.6 inches, providing additional rear legroom for passengers. The new platform shared with the Honda Pilot and Acura MDX SUVs promises a quieter and more composed ride, thanks to increased rigidity.

Under the hood, the 2026 Honda Passport is equipped with a new 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 285 horsepower, an increase from the previous model. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Passport comes standard with all-wheel drive and torque vectoring on the rear axle. This allows for up to 70% of torque to be distributed to the rear axle, with the ability to send all power to the wheel with traction. The Passport also boasts a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds and achieves an EPA-rated fuel efficiency of 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

In terms of safety features, every Passport comes equipped with a suite of driver-assist technologies, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and more. The $46,200 RTL model includes features such as cloth upholstery, a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen with wireless connectivity, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

For those looking for a more off-road capable option, the TrailSport models offer additional enhancements such as all-terrain tires, off-road suspension tuning, skid plates, tow hooks, and a surround-view camera system. The TrailSport Elite, priced at $53,900, adds luxury features like leather upholstery, cooled front seats, premium audio, and ambient lighting.

Additionally, customers have the option to add a Blackout package for $1,200 to give their Passport a sleek, all-black appearance. Overall, the 2026 Honda Passport offers a blend of rugged capability, comfort, and modern technology for drivers seeking a versatile midsize crossover.
