Used Audi Q8 and SQ8 E-tron 2022-2025 review

Exploring the Dynamic Driving Experience of the Q8 E-tron

When it comes to the Q8 E-tron, the standard air suspension sets it apart from its competitors like the Mercedes. Instead of soaking up every bump, the air suspension isolates and filters noise and disturbance, providing a smooth and relaxing ride on well-maintained roads.

However, on bumpier roads in the UK, the Q8 E-tron may experience some head toss, which can be a downside for those seeking a more comfortable ride.

While the Q8 E-tron is not known for its sporty performance, it still offers tidy handling with good grip, tight body control, and well-weighted steering. The subtle rear bias adds a touch of excitement to the driving experience, although its size and weight may deter drivers from pushing it to its limits.

On the other hand, the SQ8 E-tron, with its firmer suspension settings, sacrifices some ride comfort for slightly improved agility. However, the tradeoff in handling may not be significant enough to justify the discomfort on rougher roads.

Despite having twin rear motors, the SQ8 E-tron doesn’t offer a drastically different driving experience compared to the standard Q8 E-tron on dry roads. While it may have slightly better agility, the overall dynamic character remains similar between the two models.

Overall, the Q8 E-tron offers a balance between comfort and performance, with the standard model providing a smooth and relaxing ride, while the SQ8 E-tron adds a touch of sportiness at the expense of ride comfort. Whether you prioritize comfort or agility, the Q8 E-tron lineup has something to offer for every driver’s preferences.
