Cracks in Elon Musk’s Plan for Tesla’s Full Autonomy

Elon Musk’s ambitious plan to transition Tesla to full autonomy seems to be facing some obstacles, raising concerns about the company’s sky-high valuations.

For years, Musk has been touting the idea that Tesla vehicles would soon be able to drive without any human supervision. The first step in this grand plan was set to take place in Austin, Texas, with the launch of robotaxi rides by June.

During Tesla’s first-quarter earnings call on April 22, Musk reiterated this timeline and assured shareholders that the technology would soon be available for all Tesla owners.

However, recent developments have cast doubt on the feasibility of Musk’s vision. Critics argue that achieving full autonomy is a complex and challenging task that may not be as close on the horizon as Musk has suggested.

Despite Musk’s bold promises, it remains to be seen whether Tesla will be able to deliver on its full autonomy plans within the anticipated timeline.
