Chinese EV Firm Xpeng Unveils Second-Generation P7 Sports Saloon

Recently, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng has revealed the latest iteration of its Porsche Taycan-rivalling P7 sports saloon. The company, known for its AI-driven mobility solutions, describes the new P7 as a groundbreaking vehicle that embodies the future of luxury cars in the AI era.

While technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, the previous P7 was hailed as the world’s first AI-defined vehicle, boasting advanced autonomous driving features and a cutting-edge ‘smart cockpit’ with a conversational voice assistant. The upcoming second-generation P7 is expected to build upon these innovations and set new standards in the competitive luxury saloon market in China.

The initial images of the new P7 showcase a striking evolution in its design, thanks to designer Rafik Ferrag’s creative vision. Ferrag describes the new P7 as a work of art that combines emotion and purpose to create a truly captivating electric sports sedan.

While Xpeng has not confirmed whether the P7 will be available outside of China, its UK importer International Motors has ambitious plans to establish Xpeng as the leading Chinese premium EV brand in the country. The roadmap includes launching five models by 2028, starting with the G6 crossover, X9 MPV, and G9 SUV, followed by two more models in 2027, potentially including the P7.

Stay tuned for more details on the Xpeng P7 as the company continues to innovate and redefine the future of electric vehicles.
