Chery Holding sees monthly auto sales jump 30.1% YoY in July 2024

Chery Holding Group Achieves Impressive Sales Jump in July 2024

Chery Holding Group reported a significant increase in sales for the month of July, with a total of 195,759 vehicles sold, representing a remarkable year-on-year growth of 30.1%. The group also saw a surge in exports, with 90,281 vehicles shipped out, marking a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) soared to 45,370 units, a staggering 254.5% year-on-year increase.

For the year-to-date period from January to July, Chery Holding’s cumulative sales reached 1,296,380 vehicles, showing a substantial 45.4% jump compared to the previous year.

In addition to the strong performance in NEV sales, Chery Holding also experienced a notable increase in sales of oil-fueled vehicles in July. The group sold 150,389 oil-fueled vehicles, reflecting a 9.2% year-on-year increase. Domestic sales for the month stood at 105,478 units, a significant 44.1% rise over the same period last year.

Breaking down the sales performance by major brands, the CHERY brand sold 123,123 vehicles in July, achieving a 20.4% year-on-year growth. Cumulative sales for the brand from January to July reached 829,890 units, up 38.3% year-on-year.

EXEED saw sales of 14,443 vehicles in July, a 26% increase compared to the previous year. The brand sold a total of 68,890 vehicles in the first seven months of the year, marking a 28.3% jump year-on-year.

JETOUR experienced significant growth in July, with sales reaching 41,106 vehicles, a remarkable 91.1% increase year-on-year. The brand’s cumulative sales for the year totaled 264,661 units, up 97.7% year-on-year.

The iCAR brand, which recently entered the market with its first model, recorded sales of 6,065 units in July. Cumulative sales for the brand for the year amounted to 31,651 units.

Chery Holding Group continues to focus on its flexible product development strategy, offering a range of fuel and electric-powered vehicles to cater to diverse markets and users. In July, the group introduced several new models, including the Fulwin T10 long-range flagship plug-in hybrid electric SUV and the 2025 EXEED TXL. Pre-sales for the new Sterra ES and Tiggo 8L models also commenced.

Overall, Chery Holding Group’s impressive sales performance in July reflects its commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of consumers.
