Chrysler Finally Has Its Own Design Studio

Chrysler, a legendary American automaker, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In honor of this milestone, the company is embarking on a series of significant changes to revitalize its operations and reinvigorate the brand.

Ralph Gilles, the Design Chief at Stellantis, recently shared with Road & Track that Chrysler is back on track. The brand now boasts a brand-new design studio dedicated solely to Chrysler, a departure from its previous shared space with Dodge. Additionally, Chrysler has welcomed a team of new employees focused exclusively on the Chrysler brand, signaling a renewed commitment to its future.

CEO Chris Feuell confirmed plans to develop a vehicle inspired by the Halcyon concept, potentially replacing the beloved 300 sedan. This concept could also pave the way for a new SUV lineup, featuring both fully electric and gas/hybrid powertrains. Gilles echoed this sentiment, highlighting that Chrysler will draw inspiration from the Halcyon concept for its upcoming vehicle lineup. Elements such as active aerodynamics and a glass roof may find their way from the concept car to Chrysler’s production models.

When asked about the possibility of a new 300 sedan, Gilles hinted at the potential for more efficient lower vehicles in Chrysler’s future lineup, sparking excitement among fans of the brand.

As Chrysler embarks on its next chapter, the automotive industry eagerly anticipates the brand’s evolution and the innovative vehicles it will bring to market. With a renewed focus on design, technology, and sustainability, Chrysler is poised to make a significant impact in the automotive world for years to come.
