FAW-Volkswagen Achieves Milestone with 28 Millionth Vehicle Produced

FAW-Volkswagen, a leading player in the Chinese automotive industry, recently celebrated a significant achievement as its 28 millionth vehicle, the all-new Magotan, rolled off the production line at its Changchun plant. This milestone solidifies FAW-Volkswagen’s position as the first passenger car manufacturer in China to surpass 28 million units in production and sales.

The all-new Magotan, set for official market release on July 9, embodies a “Timeless” design philosophy, aiming to become a future classic in the automotive world. With a focus on advanced smart technology, the interior of the new Magotan features a multi-screen intelligent cockpit powered by the Qualcomm 8155 chip. The car is also equipped with the IQ. Pilot intelligent driving assistance system, enabling L2+ intelligent driving at speeds up to 130 km/h. Safety is paramount, with features like AWU ensuring a reliable driving experience in the competitive oil-fueled vehicle market.

FAW-Volkswagen is currently undergoing a transformative phase, making significant strides in new energy vehicle development, digital transformation, and business model innovation. Noteworthy advancements include the development of the Jetta pure electric platform, showcasing progress in electric drive, battery technology, thermal management, and suspension systems. The company’s accelerated development and testing of the electronic and electrical architecture POC prototype vehicle is a testament to its commitment to innovation.

Looking ahead, FAW-Volkswagen plans to launch a series of self-developed pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric models from 2026 onwards, expanding its product portfolio to meet the changing demands of consumers.

With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, FAW-Volkswagen continues to lead the way in the Chinese automotive industry, setting new standards for excellence and driving the future of mobility.
