At Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt, folding bike pioneer Dr. David Hon unveiled an impressive lineup of Dahon bikes that showcased new carbon models, upgraded folding designs, and a growing range of electric two-wheelers aimed at revolutionizing urban transportation.

One of the key highlights of the reveal was Dahon’s latest innovation, the patented DAHON‑V frame platform. This new frame design promises improved stiffness and aerodynamics, particularly on folding and road bikes. According to Dahon, the DAHON‑V concept can enhance stiffness by up to 30%, resulting in a more responsive and energy-efficient ride for cyclists. This innovation is set to bridge the gap between compact convenience and high-performance riding, offering riders a more dynamic experience.

The improved stiffness of the DAHON‑V architecture is especially beneficial for folding bikes, as it helps to reduce the flex often associated with folding frames. This advancement allows folding bikes to ride more like traditional bicycles, enhancing the overall riding experience. Several new models utilizing the DAHON‑V technology were on display at the event, drawing the attention of media and distributors alike.

Among the standout models showcased was the Télodon C8 AXS, a high-end carbon fiber folding bike equipped with SRAM’s wireless electronic shifting and an internal V-fold hinge. This bike combines portability with frame integrity, featuring Dahon’s DELTEC cable reinforcement system and an oversized Super Downtube. Additionally, the Vélodon C8 Di2, a full-size road bike designed with the same V-frame principle, catered to serious cyclists with its full-carbon build and integrated Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting.

A surprising development at the Dahon booth was the brand’s expansion into electric mobility. The company introduced a diverse range of electric two-wheelers, including electric mopeds, urban commuter e-bikes, and electric trikes. This expansion signifies Dahon’s commitment to meeting the varied needs of urban commuters and embracing the future of urban mobility. The electric vehicle lineup launched at the show included Class 1, 2, and 3 offerings, as well as throttle-based mopeds.

One notable model from the electric lineup was the K‑Feather, a lightweight e-bike with a hidden battery and torque-sensing motor. Weighing just 12 kg, the K‑Feather offers around 40 km of pedal-assist range in a sleek and minimalist frame design. This model caters to city dwellers seeking a discreet yet capable last-mile transportation solution.

Dahon’s foray into electric mopeds and trikes further solidifies the brand’s position in the micromobility space. These vehicles are designed to offer extended range, increased comfort, and cargo capacity, catering to a wider range of urban transportation needs. By combining patented mechanical systems, carbon construction, and electric drivetrains, Dahon is reshaping the landscape of compact personal vehicles.

Overall, Dahon’s showcase at Eurobike 2025 marked a significant evolution for the brand. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, Dahon is poised to redefine urban transportation with its cutting-edge models. Whether you’re in search of a lightweight folder for daily commutes or a versatile electric trike for family outings, Dahon’s diverse range of offerings is set to revolutionize the way we move in cities.
