Xiaomi EV continues its impressive streak with over 25,000 vehicle deliveries in June, as announced on Weibo by the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Xiaomi. This marks the ninth consecutive month that Xiaomi EV has achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 20,000 units. Although the exact figure was not disclosed, it was noted that June’s deliveries were lower than the “over 28,000 units” reported for May.

The company recently launched the YU7 on June 26, its first electric SUV, which received an overwhelming response. Within the first three minutes of sales, the YU7 secured 200,000 firm orders, with over 240,000 locked-in orders within 18 hours. Customers can reserve their YU7 by paying a non-refundable deposit of RMB 20,000 ($2,790), with deliveries expected within 1-5 weeks. The customized YU7 cars are scheduled to start deliveries in August.

The popularity of the YU7 has resulted in extended delivery wait times for customers. The wait time ranges from 37-60 weeks, depending on the model variant. Xiaomi is gearing up for production at phase 2 of its EV factory, with reports suggesting completion by mid-June and production commencement in July-August.

Xiaomi’s foray into the EV market began with the launch of the SU7 electric sedan, followed by the SU7 Ultra with enhanced performance capabilities. The YU7 SUV aims to compete with Tesla’s Model Y and has quickly garnered significant interest among consumers.

In conclusion, Xiaomi EV’s consistent delivery performance and the successful launch of the YU7 demonstrate the company’s growing presence in the competitive EV market. Customers eagerly anticipate their YU7 deliveries, showcasing the demand for Xiaomi’s innovative electric vehicles.
