The Bentley Bentayga has remained a strong contender in the super-SUV market since its launch in 2015, with continuous design and technology updates keeping it competitive against rivals like the Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus, and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. While the DBX and Urus have embraced a more aggressive styling and performance-oriented approach, and the Cullinan focuses on luxury refinement, the Bentayga strikes a balance between versatility and luxury.

With a starting price nearing £200k, the Bentayga offers a choice between a 3.0-litre V6 plug-in hybrid or a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The range-topping Bentayga Speed boasts an impressive 626bhp and 664lb ft of torque from its V8 powerplant. All models come equipped with four-wheel-drive and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, with variant-specific tuning for different driving experiences.

The Bentayga S, featured in this review, offers a more driver-focused experience with 542bhp V8 engine and enhancements such as stiffer dampers, recalibrated torque vectoring, and a 48V anti-roll control system. The S model is easily recognizable by its bespoke 22-inch wheels, black exterior trim, rear spoiler, tinted lights, and quad-exit exhaust. Priced just above £170,000, the Bentayga S can be further customized with options like the eye-catching Orange Satin Flame paintwork for an additional cost.

Overall, the Bentley Bentayga continues to impress with its blend of performance, luxury, and versatility, making it a standout choice in the premium SUV segment. Whether you’re looking for a capable off-roader or a stylish urban cruiser, the Bentayga offers a compelling package that caters to a wide range of preferences.
