VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently announced a strategic partnership with Plugsurfing, a leading EV charging service provider in Europe. This collaboration aims to enhance the charging experience for VinFast customers by granting them access to over one million public charging points across 24 European countries through the VinFast app.

Plugsurfing boasts a vast network of charging partners, serving more than two million users in the region and offering access to over 550,000 charging points in key markets such as France, Germany, and the Netherlands. As part of the alliance, owners of VinFast’s VF 6 and VF 8 models will receive new charging cards at no extra cost. Existing charging history and account balances will be seamlessly transferred to the new system to ensure a smooth transition without any loss of benefits.

Sofia Diakhate, COO of Plugsurfing, expressed excitement about the collaboration with VinFast, stating that the partnership aims to contribute to a brighter and more sustainable EV future in Europe. The company plans to expand its global presence in markets like Indonesia, India, the Philippines, North America, and the Middle East.

VinFast Europe CEO Le Ngoc Chi highlighted the customer-centric approach of the company and emphasized that the partnership with Plugsurfing aligns with their commitment to enhance convenience and the overall experience for customers, thereby accelerating the transition to electric vehicles in Europe.

In a similar vein, Xpeng partnered with Plugsurfing in May 2025 to provide its customers with access to a widespread charging network. These collaborations underscore the growing importance of establishing robust charging infrastructure to support the adoption of electric vehicles and promote sustainability in the automotive industry.
