Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business recently announced that a fall new product launch event for the Luxeed and Aito brands is set to take place on August 25, starting at 2:30 pm Beijing Time. At this event, the latest offerings from Luxeed and Aito will be unveiled, including the updated S7 sedan, R7 coupe SUV from Luxeed, and the M8 SUV BEV variant from Aito.

Luxeed, a collaborative effort between Huawei and Chery, initiated pre-sales for the updated S7 and R7 models on August 8. The pre-sales prices for the updated Luxeed S7 and R7 are RMB 258,000 ($35,900) and RMB 268,000, respectively. Within just an hour of launching pre-sales, the two updated models had already garnered over 10,000 pre-orders, showcasing strong consumer interest.

Aito, another joint automotive brand by Huawei and Seres Group, introduced the M8 large SUV on April 16, initially offering only extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants with a starting price of RMB 359,800. However, on July 15, Aito announced plans to release BEV variants of the M8 in August, offering both five-seat and six-seat versions. Pre-sales for the M8 BEV began on July 25 with a starting price of RMB 378,000, scheduled for sale in August.

Moreover, Aito disclosed on August 12 that the updated M7 SUV is expected to launch in September. The updated M7, which is larger than its predecessor, boasts dimensions of 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. In comparison, the current Aito M7 measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,945 mm in width, and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.
