Great Wall Motor’s HAVAL brand has officially launched pre-sales for the second-generation HAVAL H9 model, offering three gasoline variants at prices ranging from 205,900 to 235,900 yuan. Customers can opt for an additional rear-mounted spare tire for an extra 2,000 yuan.

The new HAVAL H9 features a refreshed exterior design with a longer body and a more tech-focused interior layout. It is available with two powertrain options: a 2.0T gasoline engine and a 2.4T diesel engine, both maintaining a body-on-frame construction.

The exterior of the new H9 showcases a large square grille, retro-inspired round headlights, and a distinctive four-spoke chrome strip with rivet accents. The vehicle also includes a protective skid plate under the front bumper for added off-road durability.

The side profile of the second-generation HAVAL H9 is characterized by a pronounced waistline and boxy wheel arches, giving it a rugged off-road look. The gasoline versions offer a choice of 17, 18, or 19-inch wheels, while the diesel variant comes with 18-inch wheels.

The interior of the new H9 features a modern design with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen. Key features include remote one-button start, smartphone app-based remote monitoring, panoramic imaging, parking assist, and firmware over-the-air updates.

HAVAL has focused on enhancing passenger comfort in the new H9, with generous rear headroom, shoulder room, elbow room, and hip room measurements. The five-seater version offers a cargo capacity of 791 liters, expandable to 1,814 liters with the second-row seats folded flat.

Under the hood, the second-generation HAVAL H9 is powered by either a 2.0T gasoline engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission or a new 2.4T diesel engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Some variants come equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, enhancing off-road capabilities.

It offers an approach angle of 31 degrees, a departure angle of 26 degrees, a ground clearance of 224mm, and a wading depth of 800mm.

Overall, the second-generation HAVAL H9 combines rugged off-road capability with modern technology and comfort features, making it a versatile and capable SUV option for adventurous drivers.
