BYD’s sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao recently unveiled interior images of the Tai 7 hybrid SUV on Weibo, as the vehicle gears up for its launch in the fourth quarter. The Tai 7 features a softer interior design compared to the rugged style of the Bao 8 off-road SUV, catering to the family car market.

With a horizontal central screen and a smaller instrument panel in front of the steering wheel, the Tai 7 offers a more streamlined and user-friendly layout. The model comes in three interior color options: gray, blue, and orange, providing a variety of choices for customers.

The Tai 7 is designed to combine off-road capabilities with everyday family use, offering a balance between ruggedness and comfort. It is the second model in Fang Cheng Bao’s Tai series, following the Tai 3, and marks the brand’s first hybrid SUV with a unibody design.

Scheduled for an official launch in the fourth quarter, the Tai 7 has already begun production, with the first batch of vehicles rolling off the assembly line. The model will feature an in-house developed tablet, enhancing the overall driving experience for users.

Measuring 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, the Tai 7 is equipped with BYD’s God’s Eye smart driving system and offers versions with and without LiDAR technology. The vehicle will be available in both four-wheel drive long-range and two-wheel drive standard range versions, offering impressive battery ranges of up to 180 kilometers and 135 kilometers, respectively.

In July, Fang Cheng Bao reported a significant year-on-year increase in vehicle sales, with a total of 14,180 units sold. This includes 8,513 Tai 3 units, 4,102 Bao 5 units, and 1,565 Bao 8 units, indicating a strong market demand for the brand’s offerings.

With its upcoming launch, the Tai 7 is poised to make a significant impact in the hybrid SUV market and further solidify Fang Cheng Bao’s position as a key player in the automotive industry.
