Leapmotor Celebrates Production Milestone with Roll-Off of 500,000th Vehicle
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor recently marked a significant achievement with the production of its 500,000th mass-produced vehicle. The milestone vehicle, a Leapmotor C16 Intelligent Driving Edition, rolled off the assembly line on October 17, showcasing the company’s rapid growth and success in the electric vehicle market.
Following the production of the 400,000th vehicle just over 100 days ago, Leapmotor has experienced a surge in sales. Monthly sales surpassed 30,000 units in both August and September, with weekly sales exceeding 10,000 units in the final week of September. The company’s cumulative sales for the first nine months of 2024 exceeded 170,000 vehicles, demonstrating an impressive 94.6% year-on-year growth.
The 500,000th vehicle, the Leapmotor C16, is a six-seat intelligent SUV that showcases the company’s flagship model under the LEAP3.0 technology architecture. With Leapmotor’s proprietary Four-Leaf Clover central integrated electronic/electrical architecture, the C16 offers a software-defined driving experience, combining intelligence and luxury in a sleek design.
Leapmotor is also making strides in the global market through a partnership with Stellantis. In September, the company launched the C10 and T03 models in Europe, expanding its presence in 13 European countries with over 200 dealers. Leapmotor aims to establish 500 sales points by the end of 2025 and plans to expand its business to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America in the coming years.
