Nissan Motor recently unveiled the all-new Nissan Murano, a midsize crossover vehicle designed specifically for the North American market. Set to go on sale in the US and Canada in early 2025, the Murano is the third new model developed for North America under The Arc Business plan, following the Kicks and the Armada.
Featuring 21-inch wheels, full-width LED tail lights, and available two-tone paintwork, the Murano boasts a high-definition 12.3-inch display, 64-colour ambient lighting, and massaging front seats in its luxurious cockpit. The vehicle is equipped with a new, more powerful 2.0-litre 241hp variable-compression (VC) turbo engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for enhanced driving dynamics. Customers can choose between front-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel drive (IAWD), along with frequency-sensitive dampers and electric power steering.
Safety is a top priority with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 system as standard, along with two innovative camera technologies: the “Invisible Hood View” offers a virtual view through the engine bay for precise navigation, while the “3D Around View Monitor” provides eight virtual vantage points around the vehicle for parking and maneuvering ease.
Production of the new Murano will take place at Nissan’s Smyrna plant in Tennessee, maintaining the brand’s commitment to manufacturing in the United States. The launch of this stylish and technologically advanced crossover marks another milestone for Nissan in the North American market, catering to the preferences and needs of discerning customers in the region.
