BYD has recently unveiled the 2025 Tang DM-i, the latest version of its hybrid SUV powered by the DM 5.0 hybrid system. This new model comes with a range of improvements, including lower fuel consumption and updated pricing.

The 2025 Tang DM-i is available in four variants, with the entry-level price remaining unchanged at RMB 179,800 ($25,250). The other three variants are now priced lower than their predecessors, with reductions of RMB 2,000, RMB 2,000, and RMB 12,000, respectively.

This seven-seater SUV measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. It is equipped with a 1.5 L displacement engine producing 115 kW of power and 225 Nm of torque, along with a front-mounted single motor delivering 200 kW of peak power and 315 Nm of peak torque.

The powertrain enables the 2025 Tang DM-i to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 7.5 seconds. This model retains the same sleek design and spacious interior as its predecessor, offering a comfortable and efficient driving experience.

While the Tang DM-i has received an update, the rest of the Tang family, including the all-electric Tang EV and the performance-oriented hybrid DM-p, remain unchanged for now. BYD continues to innovate and expand its lineup to meet the growing demand for electric and hybrid vehicles in the market.

In September, BYD achieved record sales of 419,426 NEVs, marking its fourth consecutive month of growth. The Tang family contributed to this success, selling 12,552 units in the same month. With its commitment to innovation and sustainability, BYD is poised to lead the way in the electric vehicle industry.

Overall, the 2025 Tang DM-i offers a compelling combination of performance, efficiency, and affordability, making it a standout choice in the competitive SUV market. As BYD continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, the future looks bright for eco-friendly transportation solutions.
