Li Auto Delivers 393,255 Vehicles in January-October Period, Up 38.16% Year-on-Year
In the January-October period, Li Auto delivered 393,255 vehicles, up 38.16 percent year-on-year.
Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) saw its deliveries slip last month, though they still sit near record highs.
The automaker delivered 51,443 vehicles in October, up 27.26 percent year-on-year but down 4.22 percent from September, according to data it released today.
In the January-October period, Li Auto delivered 393,255 vehicles, up 38.16 percent year-on-year.
At the end of October, Li Auto’s cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 1,026,619 vehicles.
The company yesterday reported third-quarter earnings that exceeded expectations, but guidance for fourth-quarter deliveries was disappointing.
Li Auto guided for fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries in the range of 160,000 to 170,000 vehicles, implying a year-on-year increase of 21.4 percent to 29.0 percent, just slightly higher than the 152,831 vehicles delivered in the third quarter.
The guidance means that Li Auto’s monthly deliveries for the last two months of this year will likely be at just over 50,000 units.
On October 23, Li Auto f rolled out its new autonomous driving architecture, which integrates an end-to-end (E2E) model and a vision-language model (VLM), to Li AD Max users on a full scale.
As of October 31, Li Auto had 475 retail stores in 144 cities and 444 service centers and Li Auto authorized body and paint stores in 223 cities.
The company operates 1,004 supercharging stations with 4,910 charging piles in China, Li Auto said today.
Li Auto’s 1,000th charging station came online yesterday at Qomolangma — also known as Mount Everest, its highest-altitude charging station.
In March, the company said it aims to have more than 2,000 supercharging stations by the end of 2024.
In 2025, Li Auto expected to have more than 5,000 supercharging stations online, covering 90 percent of main highway routes, and 90 percent of core urban areas in Tier 4 and more developed cities, the company said on March 8.
That means to reach this year’s target, Li Auto needs to add 1,000 new supercharging stations in the next two months, or an average of 16 per day.
That seems like a challenging task, considering the company added an average of 2.4 supercharging stations per day in the first 10 months of the year.
