Xpeng has continued its impressive streak with the Mona M03, delivering over 10,000 units for the second consecutive month since its launch. The company has also increased the production capacity of the model by 40 percent in November, highlighting the strong demand for the electric sedan.

During a media briefing at the 2024 Guangzhou auto show, Xpeng announced that it is ramping up production capacity for the Mona M03 in response to its popularity in the market. The monthly production capacity is expected to reach 20,000 units before the Chinese New Year to meet the high demand for the model.

The Mona M03, which was officially launched on August 27, offers three variants with starting prices ranging from RMB 119,800 to RMB 155,800. This makes it the most affordable model in Xpeng’s lineup, priced at about half the cost of a Tesla Model 3.

Deliveries for the lower-priced variants have already begun, with the highest-priced Max variant set to be delivered after the Chinese New Year holiday. The model has garnered significant interest, receiving over 30,000 firm orders in the first 48 hours after its launch.

Since its launch, the Mona M03 has delivered 517, 10,023, and 10,203 units from August to October, respectively. Xpeng achieved a milestone of delivering 23,917 vehicles in October, marking its second consecutive record month.

More than 50 percent of Mona M03 owners are under 30 years old, with 95 percent appreciating the model’s design and 82 percent praising its intelligent features. Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, noted that the model had the fastest production climb of any new model in the company’s history.
