Geely Launches the Stylish and Powerful Cowboy SUV

Geely has officially unveiled its latest SUV model, the Geely Cowboy (or “Niu Zai” in Chinese), on November 20th. This new offering comes in two variants, with prices ranging from 9.39 million yuan to 9.99 million yuan. However, there is a limited-time promotional offer starting at 8.99 million yuan for interested buyers.

The Geely Cowboy is designed with a focus on light off-road capabilities. As a compact SUV, it measures 4,442mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,640mm. The sleek and dynamic exterior of the vehicle features rounded rectangular elements and unpainted plastic trim. The roof can be equipped with a luggage rack, providing a cargo space of up to 1.3m² with a maximum load capacity of 50kg. Additionally, the rear of the vehicle houses the spare tire within the trunk for added convenience.

Equipped with 18-inch tires, the Geely Cowboy offers options for 17-inch off-road rims and 17-inch all-terrain tires to enhance its outdoor capabilities. The inclusion of red brake calipers adds a sporty and aggressive touch to both the aesthetic and performance of the SUV.

The new model is available in four exterior color options, including Snow White, Forest Green, Volcano Grey, and Desert Brown. The two-tone body and floating roof design aim to attract younger, style-conscious buyers.

Inside the Geely Cowboy, buyers can choose between Mystic Green and Mineral Grey color schemes. The vehicle features the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system, co-developed by Geely and DreamSmart Group, along with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen that integrates the Flyme Auto infotainment system powered by the high-performance E02 chipset. Connectivity options include HiCar, CarLink, and FlymeLink.

For added convenience, the Cowboy retains physical buttons alongside an electronic gear shifter. The seats combine leather, denim, and suede materials and come standard with six-way power-adjustable seats, six speakers, rear air vents, and automatic climate control across all trim levels.

Under the hood, the Geely Cowboy is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 133kW (181 horsepower) and peak torque of 290N·m. Paired with a 7DCT wet dual-clutch transmission, this powertrain enables a top speed of 200 km/h. Running on 92-octane gasoline, the model boasts a WLTC-rated combined fuel consumption of 6.97 L/100km. With front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link independent suspension, the Cowboy promises a smooth and dynamic driving experience.

Overall, the Geely Cowboy combines style, performance, and functionality to appeal to a wide range of SUV enthusiasts. With its competitive pricing and impressive features, this new model is set to make a mark in the highly competitive SUV market.
