Zeekr, the Chinese electric vehicle brand, recently marked a significant milestone by opening its 500th global showroom in Singapore on 28 November. This new showroom, located at 9 Leng Kee Road, offers customers an immersive and personalized EV buying experience across two floors. With this opening, Zeekr now boasts a total of 447 showrooms in China and 53 overseas.

Mr. Mars Chen, Vice President of Zeekr, expressed his excitement about reaching this milestone and expanding the brand’s presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The new showroom in Singapore showcases the latest addition to Zeekr’s lineup, the Zeekr 009 model. This model, available in both seven-seater and six-seater configurations, features a 116 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 582 km on a full charge. Interestingly, this battery capacity is larger than what is available in the Chinese market, where cars come equipped with a 108 kWh battery. Fast charging the battery to 80% capacity takes just 30 minutes.

In terms of performance, the Zeekr 009 in Singapore is currently only offered in a dual-motor configuration, offering impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The seven-seat variant of the Zeekr 009 is priced at SGD 409,999 (approximately 305,000 USD), while the flagship six-seater version comes in at SGD 419,999 (around 312,400 USD). In comparison, the Zeekr X model is priced at SGD 199,900 (148,700 USD) for the rear-wheel-drive version and SGD 214,900 (159,850 USD) for the all-wheel-drive variant.

The higher prices in Singapore are attributed to factors such as the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) requirement for car ownership in the country. Despite the premium pricing, Zeekr has seen success in the market, selling over 360,000 cars to date and operating in 40 markets globally. The company has ambitious plans for expansion, aiming to have 520 showrooms open by the end of 2024.

The opening of the 500th showroom in Singapore and the introduction of the Zeekr 009 model mark significant milestones for Zeekr as it continues to establish itself as a prominent player in the global electric vehicle market. With a focus on innovation, performance, and customer experience, Zeekr is poised for continued growth and success in the EV industry.
