The highly anticipated new Mercedes-Benz CLA is set to make its debut in the coming months, and we had the opportunity to experience a thrilling ride in the Austrian Alps to get a taste of what this electric saloon has to offer.

Located at a staggering altitude of 2150 meters above sea level, the Austrian ski resort of Hochgurgl provided the perfect backdrop for showcasing the CLA’s capabilities in extreme winter conditions. With temperatures plummeting to -15 degrees Celsius and the road covered in thick snow, our test drive was a true test of the car’s performance on challenging terrain.

Behind the wheel of the range-topping Mercedes-Benz CLA 4Matic with EQ Technology, we were treated to a powerful driving experience. With a combined output of around 375bhp from its dual motor setup, the CLA effortlessly tackled the snow-covered roads with confidence and precision. The advanced four-wheel-drive system provided excellent traction, while the regenerative braking system showcased the car’s efficiency and performance.

The CLA is not just about power and performance, but also about efficiency. With an impressive cruising efficiency of 5.18mpkWh, the CLA aims to set new standards in long-distance electric driving. In fact, it recently broke the record for the longest distance traveled by an EV in 24 hours, covering 2410 miles around Italy’s Nardò high-speed ring.

In terms of design, the new CLA stays true to its concept roots, with a sleek and stylish exterior that is sure to turn heads. Inside, the cabin is a blend of luxury and technology, with a full-width digital display and advanced features that promise a premium driving experience.

Stay tuned for the official unveiling in March and the launch later this year, as the CLA is set to make a big impact in the automotive world.
