Changan QiYuan has officially unveiled its latest large-sized SUV, the C798, on December 11th. Led by world-renowned master Klaus, the vehicle was designed by an international styling team of 915 people from 31 countries, marking the beginning of the 2.0 era for Changan QiYuan products.
The new design of the Changan QiYuan C798 features a split headlight assembly with star-ring bar-type LED lights, a closed front grille, and multiple raised lines on the hood for a muscular appearance. The addition of a LiDAR on the roof indicates advanced intelligent driving capabilities.
The sleek side profile of the C798 includes a flat roofline, hidden door handles, aerodynamic wheels, and pronounced wheel arches, giving it a streamlined and muscular look. With dimensions of 4837mm x 1920mm x 1690mm and a 2905mm wheelbase, it falls into the mid-size SUV category.
At the rear, the QiYuan C798 boasts a bar-type tail light group with a two-section high-mounted brake light for enhanced visibility. The matte QiYuan logo in the center adds to the overall harmonious design. A camera integrated into the high-mounted brake light could hint at an in-vehicle streaming rearview mirror.
Under the hood, the C798 is powered by a plug-in hybrid system featuring a 1.5L engine manufactured by Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. with a maximum output of 72 kilowatts.
