BYD Launches Five New Electric Vehicle Models in Oman, Opens Three Flagship Showrooms

BYD has recently introduced five new energy vehicle (NEV) models to the Omani market, including the BYD HAN, BYD ATTO 3 (known as BYD Yuan Plus in China), BYD SEAL, BYD SONG PLUS DM-i, and BYD QIN PLUS DM-i. This move marks a significant step in BYD’s market expansion into the Gulf region and demonstrates the company’s commitment to driving the adoption of electric vehicles in the area.

The launch event also celebrated the opening of three flagship showrooms in Oman, located in prime locations: Wattayah, Al Mouj, and Mall of Oman. The showroom at the Mall of Oman is particularly noteworthy as it is the first automotive showroom within a shopping mall in the country, providing consumers with a convenient platform to explore NEV technologies.

During the event, AD Huang, General Manager of BYD Middle East & Africa, highlighted the alignment between BYD’s mission to promote green mobility and Oman’s Vision 2040 for sustainable development. He expressed optimism about the partnership between the two entities and the potential for achieving shared goals.

Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Bahwan, Managing Director of Corporate of Saud Bahwan Group, praised BYD’s Blade Battery technology and its leadership in the NEV sector. He underscored the strategic importance of BYD’s entry into Oman’s passenger vehicle market, viewing it as a key driver of the country’s energy transition and sustainable development.

In addition to the current lineup, BYD also announced plans to introduce the BYD SEALION 07 model to further diversify its NEV offerings and meet the growing demands of Oman’s market. The company is committed to advancing green mobility solutions in Oman and the Gulf region by rolling out innovative products and technologies, contributing to a more sustainable future.

BYD’s presence in Oman is set to grow with plans to deepen collaboration with local dealer partners, expand the sales and service network, and provide customers with a seamless car-buying experience and high-quality after-sales support. The company’s focus on sustainability and commitment to driving electric vehicle adoption in the region position BYD as a key player in shaping the future of mobility in Oman.
