Porsche Teases Updated Cayenne Model

Porsche is gearing up for another update to its popular Cayenne SUV, just one year after the latest overhaul was launched. The company has confirmed that the combustion-engine version of the Cayenne will continue to be available alongside the upcoming electric model well into the 2030s.

Recently, a prototype of the updated Cayenne was spotted testing in Germany, featuring a new front grille similar to the one found on the latest Porsche 911. The test car also showcased bulbous foglights, although these are likely not production-ready as they appeared to be gaffer-taped onto the vehicle.

Speculation suggests that the prototype may hint at a minor restyle to align the Cayenne with its upcoming electric and next-generation models. It is also possible that the prototype is testing revised powertrains to meet the Euro 7 emissions regulations coming into effect later this year.

Porsche’s CEO, Oliver Blume, stated, “The Cayenne has always been a benchmark for sports cars in its segment. In the mid-2020s, the fourth generation will raise the bar as an electric SUV. Additionally, customers will still have a variety of powerful and efficient combustion and hybrid models to choose from into the next decade.”
