Massive Demand for New Tesla Model Y “Juniper” in China

On January 10, the highly anticipated Tesla Model Y “Juniper” was officially launched in China, and the response was overwhelming. According to Chinese auto blogger 长三角行健者, a staggering 50,000 orders were placed on the very first day of its release. Additionally, a Tesla China salesperson revealed that their store received nearly 300 orders on the launch day alone, with some individual stores surpassing 100 units in orders. With Tesla operating over 300 stores in China, the demand for the new Model Y is clearly unprecedented.

The excitement surrounding the new Model Y is evident, with consumers eagerly placing orders despite the waiting period. Even those who pay the intention deposit now will have to wait until April or May to pick up their cars, as revealed by a Tesla China salesperson.
