Xpeng, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker backed by Volkswagen, has officially launched in Finland, revealing the prices of its G6 and G9 SUVs. The cars will be sold through Inchcape Motors Finland, a local Mazda and Jaguar Land Rover dealer, with deliveries set to begin in late February.
The Xpeng G6, a mid-size SUV that competes with the Tesla Model Y, will start at 45,790 EUR (47,700 USD) for the Standard Range variant. The flagship SUV G9 AWD will start at 75,900 EUR (79,000 USD) for the AWD Performance version, limited to the Launch Edition units.
Once the Launch Edition units are sold out, the standard pricing and specs for the Xpeng G6 and G9 are as follows:
Xpeng G6:
– RWD Standard Range: 48,290 EUR
– RWD Long Range: 52,490 EUR
– AWD Performance: 56,390 EUR
Xpeng G9:
– RWD Standard Range: 62,900 EUR
– RWD Long Range: 67,000 EUR
– AWD Performance: 77,900 EUR
The range for these models is under WLTP conditions. Kresten Harala Arup, Xpeng regional manager for the Finnish and Baltic markets, mentioned that the first showroom will open in Helsinki in late February, with customer deliveries starting immediately. Another Xpeng store is set to open in Espoo in the spring of 2025.
Xpeng entered the European market in 2021, starting with Norway, and has since expanded to 12 overseas markets, including Germany, France, and Spain. In December, Xpeng celebrated delivering its 10,000th car in Europe, marking a significant milestone for the Chinese EV startup.
In China, the Xpeng G6 starts at 169,900 yuan (23,430 USD) for the Long Range version, while the G9 flagship starts at 228,900 yuan (31,600 USD) for the 570 Pro version.
Inchcape Motors Finland Oy, part of the Inchcape plc group, has been operating in Finland since the 1990s, known for importing and reselling Mazda and Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
Xpeng has been actively expanding its presence outside of China, with Volkswagen investing 700 million EUR in the company in 2023. Xpeng has launched its cars in various overseas markets, including Germany, and has participated in major events like the Paris Motor Show and CES 2025.
