Alpine A110 to Receive Two New Special Editions in Final Year of Production

Alpine enthusiasts will be thrilled to hear that the iconic A110 will be getting two new performance-honed special editions, the R 70 and GTS, to commemorate its final year in production before Renault’s performance division transitions to an all-electric future.

The sleek two-seater made its highly anticipated comeback in 2017 after a 22-year hiatus, and has since captivated fans with a range of special edition models. As Renault’s performance division gears up for an electric future, the petrol-powered A110 will bid adieu in 12 months, making way for a new era of Alpine EVs.

The A110 R 70, named in celebration of Alpine’s 70th anniversary, is a special edition of the existing R variant introduced in 2022. Boasting a 300bhp tune of the 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the R 70 features extensive carbonfibre bodywork for enhanced weight reduction. Buyers can choose from four customised interiors from Alpine’s Atelier range, along with Michelin Cup 2 tyres and an Akrapovič exhaust. The R 70 Tricolour edition, limited to 70 units each in blue, white, and red, pays homage to the French flag and the brand’s historic roots.

On the other hand, the new A110 GTS will replace the GT and S versions, offering a blend of everyday comfort and exhilarating driving dynamics. Priced from ÂŁ67,311, the GTS features a chassis based on the S variant, coupled with an aero kit inspired by the hardcore R model. This includes a front splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler, and rear wing. With the same 300bhp engine as the R 70, the GTS offers optional 18-inch GT race wheels with Michelin Cup 2 tyres, a range of bespoke colours, and a grey leather interior with carbonfibre accents.
