The AION RT, a new mid-sized pure electric sedan developed by GAC AION brand, was officially launched on November 6th. This EV is built on the AEP 3.0 pure electric platform and is available in five different configurations with prices ranging from 119,800 to 165,800 yuan. The standout feature of the AION RT is its impressive combined range of either 520km or 650km, making it a practical and efficient option for electric vehicle enthusiasts.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of the top-tier model is the inclusion of LiDAR technology, which enables high-level autonomous driving without the need for HD maps. This cutting-edge feature sets the AION RT apart from other electric vehicles in its class. Additionally, customers will be pleased to know that the vehicles are ready for immediate delivery upon launch, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience.

The exterior design of the AION RT is inspired by the “Dragon” design philosophy, resulting in a more three-dimensional and curvaceous form. The streamlined body, minimalist front end, dynamic air intakes, and LiDAR sensor all contribute to a lower coefficient of drag and a visually striking appearance. The side profile of the car features a coupe-like design with a fastback rear, giving it a sleek and aerodynamic look. The rear of the vehicle tapers towards the back, creating a dynamic and modern design aesthetic.

Moving to the interior, the AION RT boasts a minimalist design with an 8.88-inch floating instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. Powered by the latest ADiGO 5.0 system, the vehicle offers a user-friendly interface with a wide range of built-in apps for added convenience and entertainment.

Under the hood, the AION RT is equipped with CATL’s lithium iron phosphate batteries, available in two versions with capacities of 55.1kWh and 68.1kWh. The electric motors deliver a maximum power output of 150kW and 165kW, enabling the impressive range of 520km and 650km respectively. The vehicle supports 400V silicon carbide 3C fast charging, allowing it to charge from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes. This quick charging capability provides an additional range of 160km or 200km in just 10 minutes, making it a practical choice for on-the-go charging needs.

Overall, the AION RT is a standout electric sedan that combines advanced technology, impressive range, and stylish design. With its innovative features and practical performance capabilities, it is sure to make a mark in the competitive electric vehicle market.
