Shanghai (Gasgoo)- A significant milestone was reached on July 30 with the signing ceremony for the establishment of Aptiv’s Wind River software project in Jiading district, Shanghai. The event marked the signing of a cooperation framework agreement between Anting town and Aptiv China, solidifying their commitment to supporting Jiading district’s ambition to become a global technology innovation hub and a leading automotive industry center.

The collaboration between Anting town and Aptiv will see the utilization of their expertise in the automotive industry to support the establishment of the Wind River software project in the region. Wind River, founded in 1981, is a renowned provider of intelligent edge software used by over 1,700 customers worldwide in a wide range of industries.
Following Aptiv’s acquisition of Wind River in December 2022, the company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aptiv, enabling the integration of their leading expertise in mobility and automotive software to drive innovation in Anting town.
Aptiv’s longstanding presence in Jiading district dates back 30 years, with the establishment of multiple operational, R&D, and manufacturing centers in the region. This includes Aptiv Electrical Centers (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Aptiv Electric Systems Company Ltd. in Anting town, showcasing their commitment to driving innovation and growth in the automotive sector.
