Bentley Introduces New High Performance Hybrid Option for Continental GT and Flying Spur

Bentley has recently unveiled a second plug-in hybrid V8 option for their popular Continental GT and Flying Spur models. This new High Performance Hybrid powertrain offers impressive power that surpasses the previous-generation W12 cars, providing a thrilling driving experience for luxury car enthusiasts.

With a remarkable 671bhp and 686lb ft of torque, the High Performance Hybrid powertrain delivers performance figures that rival some of the most extreme sports cars on the market today. The Continental GT can go from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds, outpacing even the manual Porsche 911 GT3, while the Flying Spur achieves the same sprint in 3.9 seconds – impressive numbers considering the hefty weight of these vehicles.

Utilizing a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a gearbox-mounted electric motor, the new PHEVs offer around 50 miles of electric-only range from their 25.9kWh battery. This powertrain is available in the core and Azure trims for both the Continental GT and Flying Spur, while the more powerful Ultra Performance set-up is exclusive to the Speed and Mulliner trims.

The Azure trim, making a comeback in the Bentley line-up, is characterized by its elegant design, luxurious specifications, and focus on wellbeing. Featuring a black grille with chrome accents, bespoke 22-inch wheels, and special Azure branding, this trim exudes sophistication and style.

For added comfort and convenience, the Azure coupé comes with a panoramic sunroof, while the convertible version includes a neck-warmer for enjoyable top-down driving in cooler weather. The entry price for the Continental GT with the new High Performance Hybrid option is now £202,400, offering a more affordable alternative to the higher-powered variant.

Prices for the updated Flying Spur models have yet to be announced, but they are sure to offer the same blend of luxury, performance, and cutting-edge technology that Bentley is known for.
