BMW Unveils China-Made All-New X3 Model with Extended Wheelbase
BMW has recently unveiled images of the China-made all-new BMW X3 model, featuring an extended wheelbase for the first time after local production. The new vehicle is set to make its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show 2024 on August 30.
Exterior Changes:
The latest China-made BMW X3 showcases significant exterior changes that closely align with the international version. The front “double kidney” grille has been enlarged and now features a split BMW ring light grille design, adorned with vertical and diagonal patterns. The front headlights have been redesigned to give a more refined look to the front.
The side profile of the new BMW X3 boasts an upward-sweeping waistline, pronounced wheel arches, and a five-spoke wheel design, creating a dynamic visual appeal.
Dimensions:
The China-made BMW X3 measures 4,865mm in length and 1,920mm in width, with an extended wheelbase of 2,975mm. This extended wheelbase offers more spacious and comfortable seating, comparable to that of the standard X5.
Interior Features:
Inside, the new BMW X3 offers a refreshed experience with a dual-screen setup for the digital instrument cluster and central control screen, measuring 12.3 inches and 14.9 inches, respectively. The vehicle also features a panoramic starlight sky screen that can change colors according to different driving modes.
Powertrain:
While specific powertrain details have not been disclosed, it is expected that the all-new X3 will be equipped with a 2.0T engine, similar to the current model. The vehicle is likely to be available in two variants, 25i and 30i, differentiated by power output. The transmission system is expected to be an 8-speed automatic.
